Since 1975, Ombudsman Educational Services has provided more than 100,000 at-risk students an alternate route to graduation – and to all the opportunities a real high school diploma provides. Eighty-five percent of Ombudsman students graduate, earn credits or return to their district school closer to or at grade level. Ombudsman has ten alternative education centers in the greater Philadelphia and surrounding areas. We seek candidates who have secondary certifications in English, Social Studies, Math, Science and Special Education. Our teachers work adaptively in a smaller, non-traditional environment where students can get individualized assistance due to the 10:1 or lower student/teacher ratio. Our teachers have a passion for working with and advocating for students who are at-risk. Ombudsman is a division of Educational Services of America (ESA), the nation’s leading provider of K-12 alternative and special education programs. Based in Nashville, Tenn., ESA operates more than 140 schools and programs serving more than 240 school districts in numerous states.
